Learn the Art of Bonsai
The object of the day is to take away the mystery that so often surrounds Bonsai. Each student will create their own tree, supplied from our nursery stock to Bonsai pot, which is theirs to take home.
The class takes a hands on approach, where each student is shown the "how to" then applies that to their tree, moving through the process of creating a Bonsai. Courses will cover everything from the origins a nd philosophy of Bonsai, The basic shapes, wiring, shaping, root pruning, repotting and watering and aftercare.
All materials are supplied, including tree, pot, soil, mesh, and all tools needed to complete your tree. Also included in the course is a 50 page manual covering all the steps of the day, plus chapters such as fertilizing, pests and diseases, which pot for which tree, care through the 4 seasons , and much more.
We break for morning tea, which is supplied, and also for lunch, (not provided)
Also for students who have attended the course is a monthly newsletter covering latest news, monthly tips, new stock, specials etc. This gives students a chance to continue in their skills and knowledge, and step further into Bonsai and obtain help with their projects.
The full cost of the all day course is only $159.00. This covers everything including your tree and pot and manual to take home. A deposit of $50 is required to secure a place in the class, as numbers are limited each month. This deposit is transferable but not refundable.
All you will need for the day is a hat, some lunch, and a healthy sense of humor!
